History

The “Fleur du Jardin” Hotel in Guernsey, contrary to its literal translation, is not The Flower of the Garden but a breed of internationally acclaimed Guernsey cows. In the reception of the Fleur is a descriptive of how the Fleur got its name.

Once owned by a well-known Guernsey family who farmed in this area known as the Kings Mills, the hotel was once a key dairy farm for the world famous Guernsey Cow. ‘The Fleur du Jardin’ named after one of the most noted of these beautiful animals.
